Chicken Broccoli Braid Recipe

December 28, 2017 by Lisa Pinney

This is one of our favorite recipes of all time that we’ve been making for years!

You can easily serve this yummy dish with a salad or bowl of soup and have a very hearty meal!

This recipe starts good and simple like this!!

This is how your crescent roll dough

will look when you lay it out…

you’ll score it lightly down the middle

with your pizza cutter as this will be where

 you’ll place the filling …

then cut the strips on each side of the filling

in order to make the braid..

Bring the dough up from

each side and twist like this…

Continue all the way down…

Bake on 375 degrees for 25 minutes

until perfectly gorgeously brown like this!

  cut into squares…

Doesn’t this look delicious??!!

Enjoy!

Chicken Broccoli Braid Recipe

  • Author: Lisa Pinney

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can white chunk chicken
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup chopped fresh broccoli crowns
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1–2 tap pepper
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Press a cam of crescent roll dough into one flat sheet in a jelly roll pan. It does not have to reach the sides of the pan.

Take a pizza cutter and mark the dough lightly creating a center rectangle where the filling will be.

In a bowl, combine the filling ingredients; mix well.

Spoon the filling in the middle of the dough.

With your pizza cutter, cut 1 inch pieces of dough on each side of filling all the way down the dough.

Bring each piece towards the middle over the dough and twist; continue all the way down.

Bake 25 minutes until golden brown.

Cut slices with pizza cutter and enjoy!
