Butterscotch Pudding Recipe

I’m always amazed at how tasty a homemade pudding can be!

If you love the taste of butterscotch, you have to try this easy and delicious recipe !

Whisk the dry ingredients in your saucepan…

In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and the milk…

Now, pour the liquid mixture into the saucepan and whisk together…

Cook the mixture over medium heat for 10-12 minutes…stirring constantly…

When the mixture is thick an creamy remove from heat and stir in the butter…

Pour into your individual serving dishes and refrigerate at least an hour…

Or you could eat it right out of the bowl…while it’s warm…yum!!!

Before serving, top with whipped cream…

Butterscotch Pudding Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1cup brown sugar
  • 1/4cup cornstarch
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 3cups whole milk
  • 4large egg yolks
  • 2TBSP butter

Instructions

In your saucepan, whisk together the brown sugar, cornstarch and salt.

In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks and milk.

Pour it over the brown sugar mixture and whisk we’ll to combine.

Cook over medium heat 12-15 minutes, stirring constantly as not to scorch.

When it reaches a thick pudding consistency, pour into individual serving bowls and refrigerate at least 1 hour.

Top with whipped topping.
