I went back back in time this week my friends…
I unpacked a kitchen tool I used religiously about 20 years ago when I was a Pampered Chef consultant in another life!
Although called an Apple-Peeler-Corer Slicer, this tool was always used most by our family to make these awesome potatoes…
I know you’re going to love them too!
This is is how that awesome tool transforms a plain potato into a work of art for the eye and the stomach!
When I have my beautifully spiraled potatoes and the little potato logs,
I add them to my 9×13 pan and pour 1 stick melted butter all over…
Then for the magic of this dish, I use my garlic press — that is as old as the Apple, Peeler, Corer, Slicer and the 9×13 baker…
and add that delicious pressed garlic over the perfectly spiraled potatoes…
Generously add some salt and pepper…
Next, cover the pan tightly…
I use my pizza stone turned upside down…
Only ’cause that’s how I’ve always done it 🙂
After baking on 400 degrees for 60 minutes…
uncover carefully as there will be a lot of steam…
Then, top with the shredded cheese and bacon…
Return to the oven for about 10 minutes uncovered…
They will be total perfection like this!
The crusty brown edges are my favorite!
You can then add sour cream, ranch, green onions, more cheese, chili…
the possibilities are endless!
Enjoy!
