Lisa’s South of the Border Slaw with Jalapeno Ranch Dressing Recipe

Coleslaw is one of my favorite side dishes.
 
I love it sweet and not so sweet.
 
This is a new slaw I have put together that is very hearty and great served with a side of grilled fish or chicken and even on tacos!

Just throw the ingredients in a large bowl…
Slaw, pico, green onion, minced garlic…

the black beans…

the olives and the lime juice…

and the Morton’s…

Then, add the dressing ingredients in the food processor…

It will be perfectly pourable like this!

Lisa’s South of the Border Slaw with Jalapeno Ranch Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Slaw: 1 package Slaw Mix
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1/3 cup diced green onions
  • 1/2 cup pico, already prepared (or you can make your own)
  • 1 small can sliced, black olives,drained
  • 2–3 colorful sweet peppers, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 TBSP lime juice
  • 1 tsp Morton’s Natures Seasoning
  • Jalapeno Ranch Dressing:
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 jalapeno, stemmed and seeded 1 clove garlic, minced 1 green onion 1 TBSP lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp Morton’s Natures Seasoning
  • 1/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 jalapeno, stemmed and seeded
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 green onion, chopped

Instructions

 

Place the coleslaw in a large bowl.

Add the minced garlic and the Morton’s Natures Seasoning.

Drain and rinse the black beans.

Drain the black olives.

Dice the sweet peppers.

Chop the green onions.

Add all the ingredients in with the coleslaw. Give the ingredients a good stir.

Make the Dressing:

Place the dressing ingredients in your food processor and mix until smooth and creamy.

Pour the dressing over the coleslaw and stir until all is coated.
