Holiday Pecan Pie Bars Recipe

November 26, 2017 by Lisa Pinney

Pecan Pie is my absolute favorite holiday dessert!

We didn’t get to make one for Thanksgiving, so today, I thought I’d take my Mom’s delicious Pecan Tart Recipe and fashion it into Pecan Pie Bars!

My experiment was a complete success!

Cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar…

Add the flour, egg, vanilla & baking soda.

Spoon into 13×9 dish…

Spread evenly on bottom and sides of your dish… bake for 15 minutes while preparing the filling…

In your saucepan, combine the butter, brown sugar, corn syrup…cook over medium high heat until all ingredients are melted… increase the temperature and bring to a boil…

Remove from heat and add vanilla…

And the whipping cream…

And the chopped pecans…

Pour over the crust and bake 20 minutes…

It will be perfect like this!

Cool completely and cut into bars…

Enjoy!
