Creme’ Brûlée French Toast Recipe

If you love a good overnight French Toast recipe then look no further! This one is going to “wow” your family and friends so much that you may earn the title of “Best Bed & Breakfast in town!

Melt the stick of butter and the brown sugar in a saucepan over low heat…

Add the delicious orange liquor…or you can add orange or vanilla flavoring…

Pour this amazing goodness in a 9×13 pan…

Take that beautiful French loaf and slice it into rounds….

Place the rounds into the pan…

Make the egg batter and pour over the bread, covering it all well…

Sprinkle the tops with cinnamon …cover with foil and refrigerate overnight…

The next morning, uncover and bake on 375 degrees for about 45 minutes..

I sprinkled the tops with confectioners sugar…

Serve each slice with the delicious Creme Brûlée’ sauce in the pan…

Creme’ Brûlée French Toast Recipe

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 loaf French Bread, sliced in 1″ rounds
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP honey
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 TBSP vanilla
  • 1 TBSP Grand Marnier

Instructions

In saucepan, melt butter, brown sugar, honey and Grand Marnier over low heat until all melted.

Pour into 9×13 pan and place French Bread rounds on top.

In a bowl, whisk eggs, whipping cream, spices and vanilla.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread.

Cover with foil and refrigerate overnight.

The next day, uncover and bake on 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.

Serve each piece by flipping over each piece onto each plate and topping with the brûlée in the bottom of the pan.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy!
