I was needing a new breakfast casserole idea
and my Jessica sent me a picture of a
yummy burrito she made with the
Conecuh Sausage I mailed to her…
this delicious idea was born!
If you’ve never tried Conecuh sausage
or if they don’t carry it in your area,
you have to check out their site!
I have found their great new
seasonings and they enhance
everything I’ve added them to!
Their processing store is just about an hour
away from me and I’m hoping to visit
soon to see how the magic is made!
I will report back :))
In your large skillet,
add the oil, veggies and sausage…
fry up that yummy goodness
for about 10 minutes or so…
drain in a colander
the excess grease…
Add a few tablespoons of the
mixture down the center
of each tortilla…
toss on some of the
roll each tortilla up
and snuggle them close
in your baking dish…
I used an 8×8…
Whisk the eggs with the heavy cream…
season with the salt and pepper
and pour over the tortillas…
Oh, they will soak up that
rich goodness like this!
Add the remaining cup of cheese…
just listen to your heart on this one…
my heart has never failed me
on cheese addition to my recipes… wink…wink!
Bake on 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes…
the burritos will be perfect and the cheese
will be gooey and slightly brown…
Cut each serving into squares
and add any of your favorite
toppings…pico, salsa, hot sauce…
My son had some of this Hippy Dippy
Green Sauce from the Angry Goat Pepper Co.
that took them straight
over the edge!!
I added some beautiful slices
of Cara Cara Oranges and
served up this incredible feast!
