I wanted to use some new flavors for a breakfast casserole…
my homemade pear preserves and dried cranberries were just perfect!
If you don’t have any homemade preserves you can usually find some in the jam and jelly aisle of your grocery store!
The beautiful beginnings…
Place the croissants in a 9×13 pan and slice them
almost all the way through …
Place a couple of spoonfuls of pears into the croissants…
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs…
Add the half and half…vanilla…cinnamon…
Pour over the croissants…
Add the butter to your skillet and toast the pecans a bit…
Add the diced pears and brown sugar…
cook about 5-7 minutes until the sugar is dissolved a bit
and the pears are softened…
Add the cranberries and cook just a couple more minutes…
Pour over the croissants and cover and refrigerate overnight…
The next morning..uncover and let stand
at room temperature for 30 minutes…
preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake 35-45 minutes
until center is set and top is golden brown…
Let stand for 10 minutes…slice and serve…
Enjoy!
