I had the grand babies this weekend and we wanted to create a cute but spooky dessert for our dinner!
We think this turned out just perfect — you may want to serve it at your Halloween party this week!
[ingredients]
[method]
I put my rolls on my taking stone in the A.M to thaw…
When they’re thawed and I’m ready to make the crust…I start mushing them flat and trying to mash them together…
It takes a while, but then the dough comes together and you can roll it with your rolling pin of choice…
It will be like this…
After the crust is ready…it’s time to put the cherry pie filling on…
This is how my assistant wanted to do it…one cherry at a time!
We’re making some progress!
She’s happy and that’s what matters!
Then make the brown sugar topping and sprinkle all over….
We’re almost done…
Perfectly gorgeous!
Bake on 400 degrees for 15 minutes…
Yum!
After it cools a bit….take some frosting and add to your icing bag…
We used a #4 Wilton tip to make the circles…
Start at the middle and begin creating circles ending to almost the outer edge…
Take your skewer or toothpick and drag it from the center to the outer edge making the web design…
Wow!
It could only get cuter by adding a plastic spider to the web, but alas, every year I wait to long to secure one…
I will begin early and be prepared for 2016!
We cut it in slices to serve…
