Florentine Ham and Cheese Crescent Swirls Recipe

February 8, 2013 by Lisa Pinney

 Ooohh…make these for Saturday morning…
really…
trust me…I have never steered you wrong yet!
They were delicious!

I’ve been experimenting with Egg Beaters lately…

I’m 48 and have just discovered them…
crazy amazing isnt’ it??
Amy & Noah gave them the “high five” yesterday,
before Amy and I left for our next yoga adventure.
“They’re delicious!” Amy said.
And then she qualified that raving review
with the following statement—

“But, I think anything sprinkled with cheese,
wrapped in a crescent roll and baked would be wonderful.”
I guess I would have to agree….
follow me as I go to my pretend appetizer party in my head…
“Here, try this freshly mowed grass,
sprinkled with Mozzarella and baked in crescent roll dough.”
“Oh, my gosh!  These are the best things ever!”

“And you have to taste these…”
“It’s salty beach sand mixed with jelly fish and I’ve added Monterrey Jack, rolled it in crescent roll dough
and baked it until golden brown!”
“They’re incredible!”

Ok, I guess I must agree with Amy!  🙂

But trust me…these are delicious, quick and easy!
Your family will love you for it this weekend 🙂

******************************************************************

Florentine Ham & Cheese Crescent Spirals

1 pkg crescent roll dough
6-8 pieces of deli ham
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
3/4 cup Egg Beaters, Florentine flavor

Unroll crescent roll dough to make a solid sheet,
sealing the perforations.

Lay the ham on next and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
Roll up and slice into 1/2 inch increments.

Place on baking sheet and spoon the
egg beater Florentine into each spiral.

Bake 375 degrees 12-15 minutes.

The most simple of ingredients…

Place the ham and cheese on the crescents and roll…
you’ll have to seal the perforations as you go…
it will be ok…
you can’t mess this up!

Cut them and place them on your baking sheet…

This is the yummy egg beaters I used 🙂

Spoon about 1 TBSP into each spiral…

They are ready for the oven…
Bake at 375 degrees about 10-12 minutes…

They’ll be golden delicious like this!

Noah says,
 “I like them,Grandma!”
