Crown Royal Salted Caramel Pecan Pie Recipe

October 15, 2019 by Lisa Pinney

I’ve been making my Mom and my Granny’s Pecan Pie since I was 12 years old!  It’s such a simple recipe and oh so delicious–Pecan Pie is my very favorite pie!

Last year I had received Crown Royal’s newest seasonal flavor Salted Caramel at a Christmas Party gift exchange.  My cooking wheels began turning …I added a bit to my perfect Pecan Pie recipe and it was taken yet to another level!

If you so desire, the yumminess is elevated by this smooth salted caramel whiskey… I do know that the stores have a hard time keeping it on the shelves, so if you see it, you need to grab it quick!

In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, sugar, brown sugar, Karo Syrup, vanilla and eggs…

Whisk it until all the ingredients are combined and pale yellow in color…

Next add 1/4 cup of the Crown Royal Salted Caramel…whisk again to combine.  If you want to omit the whisky, you certainly can and you will still have a most delicious pecan pie when all is said and done!

Pour your pecans in the pie shell…Sometimes I will roast my pecans a bit for a depth of added flavor.

Now pour on that creamy, dreamy, caramel-ly goo…

It will look oh, so perfect like this!  Bake on 350 degrees for 50 minutes.  If the crust begins to get too brown after about 30 minutes, I place a pie shield around the edges or you can roll up tin foil for the same effect.

Let the pie completely cool before cutting.  Enjoy and be ready for a long winter’s nap afterwards!
