This has become one of our favorite turkey recipes.
I know your grandmothers used to sit up all night with the turkey and baby it, baste it, watch it and make sure it was
perfectly moist and delicious for the holiday meal…
Well, not this girl! I do have to have some sleep, you know!
That’s why I love my Reynolds Turkey bags.
The turkey always comes out beautifully brown,
so very juicy…
the cooking time doesn’t require a piece of your soul!
Rosemary Citrus Turkey
1– 10-12 pounds turkey
2 limes, sliced
2 lemons, sliced
1 large orange, sliced
1 apple, quartered
1/2 stick butter, room temperature
Rosemary Herb Seasoning
Morton’s Nature Seasoning
Reynolds Turkey Bag
The night before, prepare the turkey.
Rub all over with the butter
and spices, very generously.
Prepare your cooking bag as per directions on the box.
Place the thawed turkey in the cooking bag and
stuff the cavity with the sliced apple and as many
slices of limes, oranges and lemons as will fit.
Whatever limes, oranges and lemons
you have left over,
secure them with toothpicks and place all over the turkey.
Bake on 350 degrees for 2 hours.
Let sit about 15 minutes before carving.
