Lisa’s Steamed Shrimp with Garlic Creole Butter Recipe

We were so fortunate to get some shrimp straight off the boat

the other day from the Gulf of Mexico!

I like mine very flavorful so I’m sharing this

wonderful recipe that’s my favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs shrimp
  • 1 pkg or 2-3 TBSP Old Bay seasoning 1-2 tsp creole seasoning of your choice
  • 16 - 24 oz beer of your choice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tsp garlic salt
  • 2 tsp creole seasoning of your choice

Method

Step 1

In your stockpot, combine the Old Bay, creole seasoning, beer and water; bring to a boil.

Step 2

Carefully pour in the shrimp and make sure they're covered by the liquid.

Step 3

Cover with a lid and turn off the heat.

Step 4

Stir gently every few minutes until that beautiful pink flavor develops---don't overcook them---this will only take a couple of minutes.

Step 5

Drain and serve with the melted butter take to the next level with the garlic salt and creole seasoning.

To the stockpot add your creole seasoning of your choice…

this is my very new favorite from the Acadiana restaurant in Robertsdale AL…

And about 3 cups water…

bring to a boil…

Gentl stir and in just a couple of minutes they will be perfect like this!

Now flavor up that dipping butter with some garlic salt

and some of the creole seasoning…

swoon!!!

Display the shrimp like this with the creole butter…

and your guests will never leave…

well..at least until the last shrimp is gone!
