Apple Cheesecake Bars Recipe

You’re going to enjoy this simple and delicious taste of fall!

Ingredients

  • Crust:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup cold butter, cubed
  • Filling:
  • 2-8ozpkg cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 large eggs
  • Apple Filling:
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 TBSP sugar
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • Streusel:
  • 3/4 c all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup cold butter,cubed

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2

With mixer, combine crust ingredients until the mixture is fine and crumbly.

Step 3

Press into the bottom of 10x15 pan.

Step 4

Bake 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.

Step 5

Make the filling:

Step 6

Beat cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla.

Step 7

Spread over crust.

Step 8

Prepare apples:

Step 9

Toss the apples with the spices and place over cream cheese layer.

Step 10

Make streusel:

Step 11

Mix streusel ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over Apple layer.

Step 12

Bake 15-20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

Step 13

*you can make thicker bars by using a 9x13 pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Refrigerate 2 hours before cutting into bars.
